This is the North Entrance to the park coming out of Front Royal. I was able to cover the entire Skyline Drive in 4 days as well as the hiking and camping. I actually started at the south entrance to the park. The park is less crowded down there. The main reason is because the hotel at Skyline drive is where many of the vacationers like to stay. There are stables and resturants there as well. I did drive through there and it has very nice emmaties for everyone. There are cabins that overlook the West side of the mountain, showing off the Shenandoah Valley and the river below.
